Dr. Jody Weir is the Director of the ZAZA Project. She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology and Biology from the University of Victoria and her M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science at Texas A&M University. After her first visit to Madagascar in 2010 she started the ZAZA Project to increase opportunities for local villagers as well as students from nearby villages and researchers from overseas. The research program is now in it’s fifth year and includes a growing database with continuously collected data on diademed sifaka infants, indri infants and their mothers.
Jill Weir is the treasurer and secretary for the ZAZA Scholarship Program. She has been an early childhood educator for close to 30 years and joined the ZAZA Project in 2011.
Alastair Judkins is the head research assistant for the lemur research program and joined the ZAZA Project in 2011. He has spent over 9 months in Madagascar.
